Defending in a case involving the Murder of a vulnerable adult who was beaten to death and attempts made to dispose of the body by burning.

Instructed to defend in an allegation of Murder involving a Defendant with serious mental health difficulties who was alleged to have killed his mother.

Defending in a three week Trial where it was alleged members of a drug gang had used knives, firearms and rape in the course of what the Prosecution categorised as a drugs ‘turf war’

Overview
Will defends in cases of serious sexual offences and is capable of dealing with the multitude of issues that arise in such cases. Experienced in cases of a historic nature and those involving the youngest and most vulnerable Complainants and Defendants.

Defending in a case involving the kidnap and rape of a vulnerable female by gang of three males.

Successfully defending a serving Royal Marine who had been accused of serious sexual assault

Defending a male who had been accused of the attempted Rape of an elderly female in a public toilet. The Defendant had serious mental health issues.

Overview
Regularly acts for individuals or companies being prosecuted by agencies other than the Crown Prosecution Service. Will is fully aware of the commercial aspects and sensitivities of such matters.

Providing advice to a company regarding its use of industrial/agricultural vehicles during an investigation by VOSA

Defending a Trading Standards relating to an extensive Illegal Money Lending Operation involving over a million pounds.

Drugs offences
Overview
Regularly defends those charged with involvement in the supply of illegal drugs at all levels up to and including the most serious and complex cases involving significant quantities of drugs and money.
Recent cases have included investigations undertaken by both Serious and Organised Crime Agency and the National Crime Agency.

Successfully defending a Defendant who was found to have a large quantity of cocaine in the boot of his car. The Defendant asserted that the drugs had been ‘planted’, a proposition that was ultimately accepted by the Jury.

Defending a man facing allegations of the industrial production of Cannabis. It was asserted that the Cannabis was grown as a ‘hobby’ and whilst technically guilty of the offence it was in any way related to the drug trade. A Newton Hearing was resolved in favour of the Defendant who received a nominal sentence. Confiscation proceedings which followed were also successfully resisted.

Defending in a large scale conspiracy to supply Cocaine involving 18 Defendants.

Defending in a large scale conspiracy to supply Heroin and Crack Cocaine from the London area to Devon. The case involved numerous Defendants and a Police investigation that had taken over a year.
