A general common law barrister with particular experience in civil and criminal law.
I graduated from the University of Southampton in 2009. I completed the BVC at the University of the West of England and was called to the Bar in 2010. I joined Walnut House in January 2012 after completing a twelve-month pupillage in chambers.
Criminal Law
I have experience prosecuting and defending in the Crown, Magistrates' and Youth Court. I have experience in a broad range of offences including road traffic offences, offences against the person, fraud and under the Proceeds of Crime Act. In the Magistrates' and Youth Court, I have conducted various hearings from first appearances through to trial. In the Crown Court I have conducted hearings for breach of bail, execution of a bench warrant, pre-trial review, committals for sentence and appeals. I am a Level 1 CPS Advocate.
Civil Law
I undertake a variety of civil matters on behalf of claimants (including CFA work) and defendants. I have experience in contract claims, possession claims and particular experience in personal injury. I have experience in small claims hearings, disposal hearings, fast track hearings, infant approval hearings, applications, case management hearings (in person and by telephone) and summary assessment of costs.
Family
I accept instructions in all areas of family law, including ancillary relief proceedings and public and private children cases. I have acted for local authorities in care proceedings and have experience in residence and contact disputes with public and privately funded clients.
