A family specialist, with extensive experience in private and public children cases, ancillary relief cases of all values up to multi- million pound claims, and in domestic violence and injunction applications. I am a member of Middle Temple. I was called to the Bar in 1976 and I joined Walnut House in 1991 having had a significant career break to devote to my family. Children I accept instructions in both private and public law cases. In public law I represent local authorities, parents and Guardians in the FPC, County Court and High Court. I am instructed in a broad range of cases including emergency protection orders, child abduction, care cases, adoption, inter country adoptions and illegal inter country adoption. These cases have as their subject matter all forms of physical harm, emotional harm and mental illness. Many of the cases require an understanding of complex medical evidence both in relation to physical injury (shaken babies, sexual abuse etc) and in relation to mental illness and personality disorders.
In private law I am instructed in residence, contact, change of name (and other specific issue subjects) and paternity disputes. I represent mothers, fathers, other relatives and intervenors. I have a particular interest in implacable hostility cases and parental alienation. Divorce and Financial Provision
I accept instructions in contested divorces.
I represent husbands, wives and intervenors in ancillary relief cases the value of which can range from very little up to several million pounds. I accept instructions not only for private clients but also those who require public funding. I undertake Sec 37 applications and also TOLATA applications.
