A family law specialist dealing with all aspects of family law for both private and publicly funded clients.
I was called to the Bar in 1990 and practiced exclusively in family work from Chambers in Manchester until moving to Walnut House in the summer of 2007.
I have experience of the full range of family law at all levels.
Finance:
I am instructed in all manner of cases of financial provision dealing with Financial Dispute Remedy proceedings, including enforcement and variation, and Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act Applications. I have a particular interest in cases involving businesses, property rights and pensions.
Private Law:
I deal with all aspects of private law including residence and contact disputes, leave to remove applications and financial claims on behalf of children under Schedule 1 of the Children Act.
Public Law:
I have conducted a large number of child care cases and have acted for Local Authorities in the North West (Manchester, Stockport, Tameside, Bury, Oldham) and the South West (Devon, Plymouth, Cornwall), as well as Guardians, parents, extended family members and children themselves.
Other areas:
I have a particular interest in other specialisms such as adoption, Special Guardianship and abduction from within and from the jurisdiction.
