I was called to the Bar in 2005 and joined Walnut House in 2006 having completed a 12-month pupillage in chambers.
I attended the Maynard School, Exeter and then read Classics at Newnham College, Cambridge. After graduating in 1995 I was commissioned into the Royal Air Force and served for eight years as an air traffic control officer. I retired from the RAF in order to pursue a career at the Bar.
I spent a year working for the Crown Prosecution Service in York whilst studying for the Diploma in Law. I then completed the Bar Vocational Course at the College of Law, London.

I have experience of conducting criminal trials, appearing for the prosecution and defence in both the Magistrates' Court and in the Crown Court. I also regularly appear for other hearings in the Youth Court, the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court.

I accept instructions in a broad range of matters, including personal injury. I am a member of the Personal Injuries Bar Association.
