Andrew Eaton HartAreas of Practice: Family Law and Civil Law
I was called to the Bar in 1989 and became a tenant at 29 Bedford Row, London, in 1990. I moved to Walnut House in 1995. I am a member of the Family Law Bar Association and the Personal Injuries Bar Association.
Family Law My practice is evenly shared between children cases and ancillary relief cases. I have represented parents and guardians in private law and care cases, together with domestic violence fact-finding and “parental alienation syndrome” contact cases. My ancillary relief practice includes cases involving business valuations, non-disclosure/dissipation of assets, and the interaction of ancillary relief with insolvency.
In addition I am instructed in Inheritance Act claims for both the estate and the claimant, and I regularly advise and represent clients in Trust of Land Act and other claims between unmarried cohabitees. Personal Injury
I accept instructions in all manner of cases for Claimants and Defendants. I have a particular interest in travel-related cases, including skiing and snowboarding accidents. I have made a presentation to the annual International Travel Insurance Conference in Seville on the impact of alcohol on travel-related personal injury claims. Other Areas of Practice:Although my primary areas of practice are those set out above I also regularly accept instructions in other disciplines. I have an interest and expertise in boundary disputes and other land-related claims, including disputes over rights of way and other easements. I am instructed in Housing cases, including claims for possession based on anti-social behaviour or nuisance.
I frequently represent clients at Mediation/ADR meetings in all the areas of work I cover. I advise on Employment law and appear before the Employment Tribunal representing both employers and employees. |
